What is Smart Alert?
Smart alert can trigger your smart phone's emergency features - depending on your particular phone settings, this can be the following - calling the 000, sending your location to a trusted contact.
How do I activate the Smart Alert?
Smart alert can be activated two ways - Firstly by activating the alarm for more than 5 seconds, or by pressing the side button rapidly 5 times. This will activate Smart alert silently without the 130dB alarm.
Smart Alert requires connection to a smartphone via Bluetooth and is dependent on your smartphone's emergency features.
Yes. As long as your BeepBuddy is connected to your phone via Bluetooth, Smart Alert can be activated even while your phone is locked.
There are two ways to activate Smart Alert:
Pull the top ring to activate the 130dB alarm. After approximately 5 seconds, Smart Alert will also activate.
For silent activation, rapidly press the side button 5 times without sounding the alarm.
Smart Alert then uses your phone’s emergency settings to initiate the configured emergency actions, which may include calling emergency services and sharing your location with your emergency contacts.
Apple set-up
Step 1 - Go to settings in your iPhone.
Step 2 - Go to Emergency SOS - Turn on all settings
Step 3 - Go to health app on your iPhone
Step 4 - Go to Medical ID - Add your emergency contacts - Follow the prompts to save.
Step 5 - Connect to Bluetooth - long hold the side button until it beeps - Go to Bluetooth settings in your iPhone - connect to SOS personal alarm.
Android set-up
Step 1 - Connect to Bluetooth - long hold the side button until it beeps - Go to Bluetooth settings in your phone - connect to SOS personal alarm.
Step 2 - Go to settings in your phone.
Step 3 - Go to safety and emergency - go to emergency contacts.
Step 4 - Add emergency contacts and follow the prompts to save.
Simply pull the pin to activate. Push the pin back in to deactivate. Please make sure the pin is securely clicked back into place to avoid accidental activation.
A full charge via USB-C lasts weeks on standby. The alarm itself can run continuously for over 30 minutes on a single charge.
The Smart Alert feature requires your BeepBuddy to be connected to your smartphone via Bluetooth, with an active internet connection on your phone.
The 130dB alarm and LED light do not require internet connection.

I bought this product for my wife, as a precaution and defence, against unsavoury characters, it arrived really fast, and it has some other useful qualities, like a torch, and no need for an app, my wife hasn’t used it yet, but I am sure that if she has to, the amount of noise that will produce, will alert anyone anywhere.
